  • Homecoming 2017

    Join us as we celebrate our 2017 Homecoming!  The fun begins on Friday night, September 29th, with the Alumni Tailgate located under the tent next to the softball field.  Feast on delicious BBQ and boiled peanuts, then enjoy a game of cornhole as you catch up with old friends.

    After dinner, head over to Ronnie Jones Field at Marvin Arrington Stadium for the Homecoming parade and awards ceremony beginning at 6:45 p.m.; check out the new Hornets’ Nest Pavilion; then get ready to cheer on the Hornets as they take on Memorial Day School (7:30 p.m. kickoff).

    At halftime, we will recognize the members of our 2017 Homecoming Court and crown the 2017 Westfield Homecoming Queen.  Members of the Court are:  Lauren Black and Ava Grace Knight, representing the Freshman Class; Callie Franklin, Caroline Hayes, and Abbey Moore, representing the Sophomore Class; Riley Hickok and Addie Lee, representing the Junior Class; and Emily Bourque, Eve Hardy, Madelaine Kinnebrew, and Ansley Shuttlesworth, representing the Senior Class.  The 2017 Football Sponsors are Ada Harrison and Sara Morgan Martin.

    The classes of 1977, 1997, and 2007 will be celebrating reunions during Homecoming Weekend.

  • Sixteen Westfield Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

    Sixteen students at The Westfield School have earned Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the 2017 AP Exams.

    Branham Culpepper was named a National AP Scholar by scoring an average of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

    Three students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are Branham Culpepper, Hayden Hart, and Walter Kopacz.

    Three students, Cale Parks, Kevin Vancise, and Hayes Way, qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

    Nine students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are Cody Bodrey, Caroline Brewer, Laura Liz Bryan, Adam Chalmers, Joshua Kinnebrew, Madelaine Kinnebrew, Garrett Rozier, Lucy Swearingen, and Nathan Szakal.
