Apply to Westfield

Admission Testing

All applicants for grades Pre K and Kindergarten must have an admission evaluation for school readiness.  All applicants in grades 1 through 12 must take an admission test.  The Admission Office will schedule your child's evaluation or testing once your application and the testing fee have been received.

Student Records

All student records including current grades, transcript, attendance, standardized test scores, achievement test scores, psychological evaluation (if applicable), and discipline record (if applicable) must be received before an admission decision is made.

Teacher Recommendation Forms

All students entering grades 1 - 5 must have a teacher recommendation.  Students entering grades 6-12 must have two teacher recommendations.  The teacher recommendation forms are included in the online application packet.

Required Documents

Before a student may be enrolled, the following documents must be received by the Admission Office either from the student's transferring school or from the parents/guardians:

  1. copy of the student's birth certificate
  2. copy of the student's Social Security card
  3. up to date Georgia Certificate of Immunization form (GA Form 3231)
  4. Georgia Certificate of Eye, Ear, and Dental Examination (GA Form 3300)

Georgia law requires that these records must be on file within 30 days of enrollment in order for the student to remain in school.

Campus Visits/Student Shadowing

We encourage new families to schedule a campus tour or a time for your child to shadow a student. Student shadowing is strongly recommended for students entering grades 6 - 12.

Admission and Enrollment Process

The admissions process, including admissions testing and receipt of school records and other documents, may take several weeks.  Prospective families are encouraged to begin the admissions process as soon as possible so that a final admissions decision can be made and a student may register prior to beginning of the tuition year (March - February).  By doing so, the family will have a full 12 month period for making tuition payments.  Upon acceptance, an enrollment form will be sent to the parents and must be returned within 10 days for a space to be held for their child.

Students are evaluated for admission on the basis of academic testing, previous school records, teacher recommendation, and personal interview. Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at their current school in order to be considered for admission to The Westfield School.

The Westfield School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and financial assistance programs, athletics and other school administered programs.
