Media Center

The mission of the media center program at The Westfield School is to strive to ensure that each student will develop skills to be become a life long learner and a productive member of society.

Welcome to Westfield’s Media Center/Library Services. Westfield’s Library/Media Center serves the Pre-K-12 student body from two facilities: the Lower School Library, located in the center of the Lower School Building; and the Upper School Media Center/Library, located convenient to the Middle and Upper School student body in the Upper School Building. Each library is equipped with a large variety of fiction and non-fiction books. Both libraries are open before and after school as well as through the school day, to afford all students opportunity to benefit from services provided.

The librarian/media specialist works closely with teachers at both levels to insure that adequate materials are available to support the curricular requirements for each grade level and to encourage reading as an activity for both pleasure and curricular enhancement.
