The Westfield School is pleased to award Molly Katherine Paris '23 as the Valedictorian and Curtis William Herbert '23 as the Salutatorian

 

Molly Katherine Paris – Valedictorian

Molly Katherine Paris is a High Honor Graduate with Distinction, an AP Scholar with Honor, and the recipient of top average awards in every academic class.

She is a 2023 Golden Eagle runner up in the field of English literature. She is a Hugh O Bryan Youth Leadership Ambassador and is the recipient of numerous awards including the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholar Award, the President’s Award for Educational Excellence, and the Rensselaer Medalist in Science.

A semifinalist for Governor’s Honors in the area of Communicative Arts, Molly Kate also was selected as Westfield’s 2023 STAR student, Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month, and Perry Kiwanis Club Student of the Year. A graduate of the Perry Chamber Youth Leadership program, Molly Kate serves as Vice President of the Senior Class, vice president of the Art Club, vice president of the Foreign Language Club and is a member of Student Council, Beta Club, and the Peer Leadership team.

She has served as a member of the United Way Youth United Council and the Kappa Alpha Zeta sorority. She placed second in region literary competition in the category of Rhetorical Analysis. She has participated in varsity track, tennis, and cheerleading.

Molly Kate is the daughter of Tiffany and Mike Paris of Perry and will attend the University of Georgia where she has been accepted into the Honors College. 


Curtis William Herbert – Salutatorian

Curtis William Herbert is graduating with High Honors with Distinction and has earned top average awards in a variety of academic classes.

Will is a national AP Scholar and a 2023 Golden Eagle nominee for Mathematics. He is also the recipient of numerous academic awards including the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit, Wofford College Scholar Award, Presbyterian College Fellow Scholar Award, the President’s Award for Educational Excellence, and Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology.

Will is involved in community service and is an active member of Westfield’s varsity baseball team, Peer Leadership team, Foreign Language Club, Green Team, and Beta Club.  Will is the son of Kimberly and Charles Herbert of Kathleen and will attend the University of Georgia
