Nurturing Growth Through Play: Help Us Renew Our Playground
The Annual Fund has been instrumental to improving our school. With the support of our Westfield families and community, we can enhance our Lower School playground.
Our Lower School playground is an essential space where students grow, learn, and play. The Annual Fund has been instrumental in improving our school, and with the continued support of our Westfield families and community, we can create an even more enriching environment for our children.
We are excited to introduce our Annual Fund Campaign for 2024-2025. This year's contributions will be crucial in revitalizing our lower school playground, transforming it into a vibrant, imaginative, and engaging space for our students. Your generosity will help us provide new play structures, interactive equipment, and sensory play areas that foster creativity, physical activity, and social interaction among our young learners.
Gifts to the 2024-2025 Annual Fund will benefit the Lower School playground by enabling us to:

Remove pea gravel and install new, safer cushioned surfacing.

Incorporate freestanding play for children ages 2-12 with friendship swings, fly winner spinners, domes, oodle swings, and we-saws.
- Update the playground fence to ensure safety and durability.

Provide enhanced belted swings with cushioned surfacing.
- Place stumps under our beloved BIG TREE to create a shaded area for an outdoor classroom and hangout spots.
- Introduce a Smart Play compact structure for ages 5-12 that promotes physical development and strategic thinking, while also creating hangout sections. Features include a belt bridge, square loop vertical climber, Windowpane overhead ladder, double swoosh slide, Fire Pole, tight rope, wood plank ladder, Cabin Climber, Cabin Seating area, square steppers, turning bar, and belt hammock.
Additionally, we envision a ninja warrior-like play structure for ages 5-12, as shown in the bottom left photo above, which will include:
- Spider walk walls
- Jump hang cargo netting
- Angled overhead ladder
- Balance beam
- A-frame cargo net

To bring our vision to life, we anticipate the project will cost approximately $500,000. Your support, regardless of the amount, makes a significant difference in the lives of our students.
